Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three consortia delivering services under Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success program. Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water’s North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.
As a Project Manager in our Networks Team, you will act as the overall project build owner and be responsible for all cost, time and risk management tasks required to deliver a successful project. This Team is responsible for most of the Linear Assets for Sydney Water in the region as described above.
Based either on site or in our Chatswood office you will have overall Project Management responsibility of your assigned projects from RFQ through Stage 1 and 2 to close out. The range of projects we are responsible for are varied and service over 2 million customers across the region for both drinking water and sewage services.
The projects you will manage will vary in size, scope, value, structure, team composition, and location, with the opportunity to work on both water and wastewater assets. Through your experience and expertise, you will add value throughout the project lifecycle by being involved in tasks such as scoping, design, cost estimation, procurement, supply chain management, planning for inspections and testing, documentation, incident management, safety and environmental considerations, risk mitigation, and ongoing stakeholder management. You will also set expectations around key project milestones, budgets, and provide monthly status updates to the board on progress against key deliverables. Additionally, you will coach Construction Project Engineers and Construction Site Engineers on construction methods, procedures, and best practices.
As such, the projects you will manage will be of varying size and scope, with differing values, structures, people and locations in both water and wastewater networks and assets. Across the life of the project, you will be involved in scoping, design, costing, procurement, supply chain, estimating, Inspection/test planning, documentation, incident management, zero harm, safety/environment and risk mitigations and ongoing stakeholder management – setting expectations throughout the project milestone dates, budgets and presenting project status against key deliverables on a monthly basis to the board. coaching of Construction Project Engineers and Construction Site Engineers on construction methods, procedures and correct ways of working.
Working in partnership with Sydney Water, you will understand the scope of works, specifications and desired performance outcomes for any of your given projects to ensure the project is a success. ABOUT YOU
• Experience in water and/or wastewater networks infrastructure is ideal
• Proven Project Management experience of a similar nature
• Demonstrated safety an ability to drive a positive HSEQC culture throughout the supply chain. leadership skills and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and provide constructive feedback at all levels of a project.
• Proven ability to plan effectively and manage change, ensuring commercially successful outcomes for the business.
• Highly developed and effective verbal and written skills to communicate at all levels of a project via clear communication and constructive feedback to influence commercially effective outcomes
• Class C Driver License and Construction Industry White Card
