Electrical Designer

​Due to the recent growth within Ventia’s Critical Infrastructure Telecommunications team, we are looking to employ an Electrical Designer in a full-time permanent role in early 2025.

This role will see you travel across NSW at least 2 days a week, as well as regional NSW. You will be required to work away from home for short periods of time to complete site visits and be comfortable driving to these locations. You will have access to a 4WD company pool car for travel.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist in the design of turnkey Critical Infrastructure equipment such as DC Power Systems for telecommunications, Diesel Generating Plant, UPS Systems earthing systems, building and civil works to support installations such as Solar Power systems.
• Support the design and construction team to manage end to end projects including the forecast of materials, detailed quotes and engineering solutions for specific programs of work, monitor progress of completions against specified timeframes.
• Offer design support to Construction crews and in particular Construction Manager & on-site Supervisors.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding products, warranties and delivery schedules and customers to meet desired design and project outcomes.

About you:

• The ideal candidate will have an electrical background – electrician, electrical engineer, worked with electronics etc.
• We would consider experience working as a field technician or if you’ve had experience in the telecommunications, maintenance or construction industries.
• Ability to use various computer packages including Excel, Access & Microsoft Office Suite programs.
