MEDIA RELEASE: JustMums Recruitment & Working Mothers Connect have rebranded to Working Parents Connect
MEDIA RELEASE: JustMums Recruitment & Working Mothers Connect have rebranded to Working Parents Connect (22 October 2019)
The release of the inaugural National Working Families Report 2019 discussed responses from over 6,000 Australian working parents and carers on what they need to support them balance work and family. One of the biggest challenges was the impact on their families wellbeing – with 1 in 4 parents and carers considering leaving their job in the next 12 months due to difficulties trying to manage their family and career. Whilst the results of this report don’t come as a surprise to the team at Working Parents Connect, the focus is now on how employers act upon the report’s recommendations to create family friendly workplaces to both attract and retain talented staff.
After placing hundreds of mums into flexible roles with family friendly employers since 2012, and seeing a significant increase in dads seeking help over the past 18 months, specialist recruitment agency JustMums Recruitment and jobs board Working Mothers Connect rebranded in October 2019 to Working Parents Connect. With a changing landscape in the workforce and a stronger focus on parental equality, they are dedicated to supporting working parents equally and holistically – and calling for employers to listen and address issues faced by the large majority of working parents in Australia.
With over 75,000 parents in their network, Working Parents Connect is the only recruitment agency in Australia to specifically support parents by providing:
(1) an online job platform for parents to search and apply for flexible jobs with family friendly employers and connect with a wide range of support services to help manage their work and family responsibilities;
(2) family friendly employers with both online job advertising and recruitment services to support their talent acquisition strategies and promote their flexible opportunities and parent friendly policies to a growing network across Australia.
Some of their employer partners include Apple, AustralianSuper, Broadspectrum, IAG, Medibank and many more who truly support working parents in the workplace and who are looking to connect with a highly skilled (and often overlooked) talent pool of working parents and parents returning to work.
Erin Kefalas and Rachel Perkins (Directors and Co-Founders of Working Parents Connect) are committed to supporting their talented and growing network of parents to manage both their family and career – and connecting them to a wide range of flexible jobs with family friendly employers across Australia.
