We’re walking for Peter Mac

This October, The Working Parents Connect team are walking 50km each over 10 days to help raise funds for vital cancer research at Peter Mac. It’s a chance for us to make a difference and honour those we have lost, including 9-year-old Lincoln who grew his angel wings earlier this year.

Lincoln was the son of our much loved Recruitment Manager, Leanne MacKenzie. Leanne has recently returned to work after taking time to be with her family after Lincoln’s invasive and gruelling treatment was deemed unsuccessful in late 2019. Part of his treatment for Ewing’s Sarcoma (a rare bone cancer) diagnosed in May 2019, included 10 days of radiation therapy at Peter Mac; so this walk is particularly close to our hearts.

We’re half way to reaching our team goal of $5,000 and encourage others to register for the walk as a team or individual – or if you’re in a position to make a donation to our team, we’d be forever grateful.
